Responsibilities You’ll work with Product Management and Engineering teams to create smart, powerful, efficient software that delights our users. We are looking for a talented designer who is a great communicator and problem solver with excellent design instincts, but who knows how visual UI design should enhance the experience. You’ll analyze requirements, create wireframes and mockups to lead discussions, and then refine designs to provide the necessary handoffs with Engineering to accelerate getting new features to market. Also ... Design engaging experiences in an iterative manner taking care to validate your concepts with requirements and user needs along the way. Create interaction models, task flows, screen designs, and UI details that help you communicate your design solutions and support design decisions. Collaborate with product managers and other designers as needed and work independently to see a project through. Negotiate and articulate the “why” of design decisions. You’ll need to convince, disagree confidently and give/take straightforward criticism. Contribute to the curation of design standards for our product and contribute to our design system. Strike a balance between quality and speed-to-market, always connecting the dots between business needs, innovation and good design. Work with Engineering to guide final implementation of design concepts. Requirements At least 5 years experience designing SaaS & web products. Both desktop and mobile devices. Proven track record and a passion for designing compelling user experiences within an agile development environment. Strong visual design skills, including an eye for good typography, composition, color usage, layout, hierarchy, and interaction design. Strong portfolio showcasing successful projects that include enterprise workflows, collaboration, reporting, content management solutions, large-scale information exchange, and/or solutions that leverage AI. Have a heightened sense of user empathy, an obsession with user-centered design practices, and fanatic attention to detail. Experience with UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. We use Figma exclusively, but experience with other design tools is appreciated. Animation and interaction flow is a plus (e.g. Principal app). Experience with various prototyping methods. Expert knowledge of best practices and a solid grasp of applying the appropriate level of fidelity depending on project requirements, scope, etc. Ability to evaluate various factors that impact project priority and organize your work schedule for optimization and efficiency; communicate progress and expected milestones. Ability and willingness to mentor other designers and elevate the design understanding of non-design colleagues. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a 100% remote environment across multiple time zones.
