As Sr. Design Researcher Lead, International, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the global application has the cultural sensitivities to meet the needs of our sellers across the world – enabling them to take full advantage of the Walmart 3rd Party Seller ecosystem. The Seller Center application is where 3rd party sellers establish their relationship with us, add/manage their catalog and benefit from being a part of the Walmart business. You will drive what research we do, how and when to maximize our opportunity to deliver for the sellers in our non-US (international) markets. Given our focus on research in Mexico and Chile, Spanish language fluency is highly desirable. You will: Understand the strategy and priorities of the Seller product space, partner with UX, Product and Business teams in order to drive the planning and execution of research projects Be a technically sound strategic thought partner, deeply understanding cultural nuances and representing the customer to influence product direction and tactics Be a change agent, elevating the voice of the Seller into critical decision-making In this role, you’ll be expected to contribute and lead across Design Research, Data Analysis, Collaboration, and Thought Leadership. Design Research & Data Analysis Apply user-centered research principles and methodologies to build subject matter expertise of the business and its customers. Requires knowledge of best practices of qualitative and quantitative research Requires knowledge of: User interviews and surveys, User journey mappings, Contextual inquiries, heuristic reviews and moderated and unmoderated usability testing Anticipate user needs based on knowledge gained from previous studies and engages with ideas and opportunities for UX/CX improvements. Build research plans and roadmaps, defining project success metrics and outcomes Guide research processes with inputs regarding type, quality, and quantity of data and information to be collected. Verify the reliability and accuracy of the information through detailed checks. Analyze and interpret relevant data (for example web analytics, user surveys, and/or customer support calls). Channel research projects to other researchers or vendors as needed; ensure quality delivery. Ensure successful delivery of quality research programs and projects, anticipating research needs, evaluating and evolving as needed research and communication methods and organizational ways of working Demonstrate clear communication, organization, and writing skills in English and Spanish. Deliver your work professionally, on or before the deadline, with some autonomy and limited oversight. Aware and manages legal risks, factual errors, and breaches of codes of conduct involving the use of research materials Data analysis techniques Collaboration: Manage approaches with key stakeholders to understand their opinion on the problem, the context, expectations, and business objectives and determine if a service design approach is needed. Assess gaps between business expectations and user experience strategies. Leverages a deep understanding of trends in user consumption behaviors to develop or improve interaction design and user experience strategies. Champion and drive activation of research insights, including leading design sprints and engaging activation activities Work with the Localization, Content Strategy and UX Design functions in close partnership to ensure UX team cohesion, function and support for one another. Work with Product Management, Engineering and Market Stakeholders to ensure confidence in our work, abilities and role in the Seller Center business. Fluent in Spanish and English Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX Research. Experience in LATAM a plus. 3+ years of experience in UX Research Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Statistics, User Experience Research, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Stats, Business, preferred Proficiency with UX Research platforms & tools such as UserZoom, Usertesting.com, Lookback, Dscout Experience independently conducting quantitative & qualitative on-line & field research methodologies with systems (for example, UserZoom, Qualtrics, Feedback Ally).
