Lead Product Designer
About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Designer. This role will lead design initiatives that create exceptional digital experiences for our clients; all in deep collaboration with other multi-disciplinary designers, Product Management and Engineering. The Lead Product Designer also partners across the broader Experience Design team to ensure a smooth, coherent end-to-end experience. Success comes from understanding client and business needs, partnering effectively, simplifying complexity, crafting elegance, and producing code-ready design assets. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives including those that provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams Develop and execute customer experience solutions for online applications and websites Be accountable for overseeing the execution of design projects that influence design and strategic direction of the company Review and analyze complex industry leading user interface design solutions that require the evaluation of multiple factors Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards Serve as design advocate with the ability to forecast and assess industry trends and their impact on the company’s product design alternatives Build and enhance working relationships within the information and interface design function and community outside of the company Provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations and participate in roadmap planning and virtual teams Make decisions in customer experience strategy for platforms and products requiring understanding of the function and compliance requirements Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Actively contributing 80% of their time to improve design outcomes Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Hands on experience designing UX and UI in Figma 2+ years experience working in an agile environment, with distributed teams and agile delivery tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) Experience driving design through the full product development cycle (discovery, concepts, prototypes, specs) Consistently articulate a strong design rationale Experience managing creative design efforts in a complex environment Ability to work with cross functional partners in research to initiate studies and implement findings within projects Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: managing projects from beginning to end; that vary in scope and complexity Strong presentation skills to senior leadership Desired Qualifications: Experience in Financial Services industry Leadership experience Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills Job Expectations: Ability to work on-site at approved location at least three days a week This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship Pay Range for New York, NY & San Francisco Bay Area: $115,-900-206,100 Pay Range $115,900.00 - $206,100.00 Benefits Wells Fargo provides all eligible full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their physical and financial health and to help them make the most of their financial future.
